  I am not one to write a bad review however on this occasion I feel compelled to do so.
  
  My first experience of Shades of White was wonderful, unfortunately the experience went rapidly downhill from there.
  
  It was after placing orders for my wedding dress and all of the bridesmaid dresses that the service turned cold and unwelcoming. Any appointments we tried to make were met with strict policies and restrictions which made it near impossible for my bridesmaids to get to and this was during opening hours. As soon as I mentioned their website saying "evening and Sunday appointments available on request" the restrictions were soon lifted.
  
  The pricing for the alterations was ludicrous and was increased multiple times due to errors made by Shades of White. The pricing strategy for bridal alterations is absurd and makes no sense. I had a simple hem alteration, cups and a bustle and it cost me £175! The bustle wasn’t even fit for purpose.
  
  The bridesmaid alterations were the real disappointment. The alterations alone cost me hundreds of pounds and I could’ve picked dresses off the rack that fitted them better despite getting them all to travel down twice to try the dresses on. None of the bridesmaids had changed dramatically in size so there was no excuse for how poorly they fitted on the day. What was worse is that when we voiced our concerns at the second fitting we were made to feel as though we were at fault.
  
  We also discussed straps being added when we were purchasing the bridesmaids dresses and were told it wouldn’t be a problem but when it came down to it every excuse was thrown at us. If we were told it was going to be troublesome we would’ve just picked different dresses that already had straps especially as I was charged another £100 just for the material to make them.
  
  The whole experience was infuriating. I appreciate that it was a very busy time of year, however we were paying for a service and the lack of professionalism really ruined what was a once in a lifetime experience for me.
